As September begins, Apple once again captures global attention with the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series. Every year, the tech giant introduces exciting new products, drawing millions of eyes worldwide.
This year, Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 16 series at its annual event, “Glowtime.” The event will take place at Apple Park on Monday, September 9. The lineup will include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Each model promises new design features and upgrades.
Larger Displays in the iPhone 16 Series
The iPhone 16 series, specifically the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will feature the largest displays ever for an iPhone. The Pro model will have a 6.27-inch display, while the Pro Max will have a 6.86-inch screen. This is a jump from last year’s 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models.
Vertical Camera Setup
Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will see a new vertical camera layout. The design includes a raised pill-shaped camera bump with two rings for the Wide and Ultra-Wide lenses. This update will allow these models to support Spatial Video recording, which was previously only available in Pro models.
Expanded Storage Capacity
Apple is expected to offer more storage options this year. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may offer up to 2TB of storage, doubling what was available in previous models.
Faster Charging
Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will support faster charging. They will offer 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe charging. These improvements will make up for the larger batteries in these models. Previously, the iPhone 15 models supported only 27W charging.
New Colors in the iPhone 16 Series
Apple is introducing new colors for the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will come in Black, White, Gray (or “Natural Titanium”), and Rose. The Rose option might even look bronze in some lighting. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be available in Black, Green, Pink, Blue, and White. The White color replaces the Yellow option from the iPhone 15 lineup.
Ultra-Thin Bezel Technology
Apple plans to reduce the bezels on the iPhone 16 series with new Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology. This will allow for a nearly borderless display. The Pro models will have the thinnest bezels ever seen on a smartphone, beating even the iPhone 15 Pro’s design.
Additional Releases
Along with the iPhone 16 series, Apple will also release the Watch Series 10 and new AirPods. The iPhone 16 models will be available for purchase starting September 20.
