When you type in just a few letters of what you\u2019re looking for, our system will suggest relevant categories to help you narrow down your search. It\u2019s all about making your search experience smoother and more convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>How does it work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine you\u2019re on the hunt for a new car, and you type in \u2018Pri\u2019 in the search bar. With Category Suggestions, you\u2019ll instantly see suggestions like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pri<\/strong>vate Driver in&nbsp;<strong>Driver<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pri<\/strong>nter \/ Scanner in<em>&nbsp;<\/em><strong>Computer<em>&nbsp;<\/em>Accessories<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/search-blog-2-1024x489.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3384\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These suggestions are based on matches with different entities like item types, categories, brands, and models. It\u2019s all about helping you find what you want with just a few keystrokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Priority order matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To make things even better, we\u2019ve set up a priority order to ensure the most relevant suggestions appear first:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>C2 Categories<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>C3 Categories<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Brands<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Models<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ikman Members \/ virtual shops<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, if you type \u2018Car,\u2019 you\u2019ll see \u2018Cars\u2019 within the \u2018Vehicles\u2019 category, and if you type \u2018Toyota,\u2019 you\u2019ll find \u2018Toyota\u2019 in the \u2018Cars\u2019 category, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/search-blog-3-1024x518.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3385\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>A few things to note<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>We won\u2019t suggest C1 categories because we want to keep things simple and clutter-free.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In cases where there are ties or multiple results within a category (like Models), they will be neatly displayed in alphabetical order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We\u2019ve removed the membership headline to keep things clean and straightforward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>How to access these new features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>On the Web: Simply start typing in the first few letters of your search query on the search bar, and watch the magic happen!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On Android: Open the app, tap the search icon, and start typing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On iOS: Launch the app, tap the search icon, and begin your search journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope you\u2019re as excited as we are about Category Suggestions.
