Paying our respects to the workers worldwide May 1st they have brought the balance among the international\u00a0 working communities. The President made this announcement during a meeting held with the Heads of Media institutions at the President&#8217;s house on the 6th of April. The President earlier said that on a request from the Maha Sangha the May Day rallies and labor day celebrations will be held on the 7th of May this year instead of May 1st due to the Vesak Festival.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-935\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/image-500x335.jpg\" alt=\"vesakikman\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/image-500x335.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/image-768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/image-1024x686.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.ikman.lk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/image.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Vesak full moon is commemorated on 29th and 30th of April and the Vesak Week will continue till May 3rd.
