ikman.lk introduces ‘Buy Now’
ikman.lk today announced the introduction of a new feature on its website, launched to provide greater convenience to buyers and sellers. The new service, branded ‘Buy Now’ allow sellers to deliver their products direct to the buyer via ikman.lk, for a nominal fee.
All products under the categories of electronics, electronics accessories, fashion, health and beauty, hobbies, sports and kids items now feature the ‘Buy Now’ option. Whenever a seller posts an item under any of the above categories, the ‘Buy Now’ feature is automatically enabled. If a buyer clicks on the ‘Buy Now’ feature, ikman.lk will get in touch with the buyer further clarifying the buyer’s intent to buy. The seller will be notified; ikman.lk will collect the item from the seller, deliver it to the buyer, collect the payment on the seller’s behalf and remit it to the seller’s bank account. The ‘Buy Now’ feature adds greater convenience to both parties. While buyers and sellers can still interact with each other, this is an added service from ikman.lk eliminating the need for buyers and sellers to meet across distances, giving sellers the opportunity to reach more buyers as ikman.lk takes on the responsibility to deliver to most out station locations.
Sellers can have items delivered within the Colombo district for a nominal percentage of the value of the item. ikman.lk also delivers items to some locations out station for which buyers are required to pay a nominal percentage of the value of the item.
Speaking about the introduction of this service, Mr. Stefan Beekmeyer– Director Marketing & sales, of ikman.lk said, “Since it’s inception ikman.lk has been focused on introducing new value additions to our offering, which bring about greater convenience to users. While classifieds will always remain our main focus, we introduced the “Buy Now’ feature as a service within a service, eliminating the need for buyers and sellers to travel across distances to meet and conclude a transaction. Thus giving buyers the opportunity to have access items for sale across the island and sellers the opportunity to sell to more buyers regardless of their geographical location.”
Mr. Thivanka Liyanage from Mulleriyawa New Town who recently purchased a phone from ikman.lk using the ‘Buy Now’ feature said, “I purchased a phone from Dream Mobiles in Piliyandala and ikman.lk delivered the phone right to my doorstep. The product was exactly the same as was described on the website and I find this service not just convenient but also reliable.”
The introduction of this service is yet another first from ikman.lk, which prides it’s self on being the pioneer of innovative services in the classifieds industry in Sri Lanka. The ‘Buy Now’ option is the latest in a string of new value additions introduced by ikman.lk who announced that plans are in the pipeline for several more unique features in the near future.
